Webinar: New Forms of Collaboration. Shaping CCI through Strategic Support and Cross-Sector Synergies

Jorma Sarv is a strategy expert with 15 years of experience advising organizations in the culture, sports, education, and creative economy sectors. He has designed various development programs for regional culture managers and institutions, including workshops and lectures for municipalities, libraries, museums, and other stakeholders. Since 2020, he has also led the BA curriculum in Culture Management at the University of Tartu Viljandi Culture Academy, integrating management topics with practical knowledge and skills from the cultural sector and creative economy.

This webinar will explore diverse experiences and strategic frameworks that highlight the regional role of Cultural and Creative Industries (CCI). While the unique value of culture and creativity is often discussed in policy documents, the success of its implementation varies widely. The session will examine public sector subsidies, support mechanisms, and other measures designed to create favorable conditions for CCI.

We will also dive into the relevance and impact of cross-sector synergies, for example with tourism, community services, or education. Questions such as “To what extent should CCI be treated like any other part of the local entrepreneurial landscape?” and “When should we expect and provide additional value and impact?” will guide the discussion.

This Zoom webinar takes place on September 24th, 2025 from 13.00 to 14.30 CET and lasts approx. one hour for the public with the Pearls of 2025 continuing amongst themselves afterwards.
